How Colo-Colo welcomed back Arturo Vidal: Photos and Video

Arturo Vidal

Chilean soccer club Colo-Colo welcomed back boyhood star Arturo Vidal, in spectacular fashion as they presented him as new player officially to fans.

The veteran midfielder arrived with a helicopter which landed right inside the stadium, then rode on horseback while dressed up in an outfit normally reserved for kings and with a crown on his head.

Vidal’s presentation as Colo-Colo player

Videos and photos shared on social media shows Vidal riding the horse all over the pitch, as he waved up a sword and hailed excited Colo-Colo fans, who cheered back in their thousands.

Arturo Vidal came through the youth ranks at Colo-Colo, before catching the attention of Bayer Leverkusen who signed him in 2007, before subsequently moving to Juventus in Italy, where he became known widely.

And the rest is history for the man who has now returned to his roots in Chile.
