Pep Guardiola

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reacted to news of Jurgen Klopp’s departure from Liverpool at the end of the ongoing Premier League season.

Klopp announced recently that he will be leaving Liverpool FC at the end of the season, prompting lot of reactions from fans, managers and pundits alike.

And Pep who is a long-time rival of Jurgen Klopp, has said he will be relieved now and won’t be having any more nightmares for the first time ever.

Here’s what Guardiola said…

“Klopp leaving? I will sleep better! The day before playing Liverpool, it was always a nightmare.

The best rival I have ever had in my life. I wish him all the very best. He will be back, I’m sure.”

It’s not surprising however, given the fact that Klopp is a world-class coach and top manager, who had turned Liverpool into an extremely competitive team, since taking over from Brendan Rodgers in October 2015.

The German coach has since won the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Community Shield, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup trophies.
