Curtis Jones accuses Arsenal of ‘stealing’ Liverpool celebrations after Gunners defeat

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones

Liverpool’s Curtis Jones has accused Arsenal of stealing goal celebrations from Liverpool, after their defeat to the Gunners.

Arsenal were seen celebrating their 3-1 win over Liverpool last weekend in a style well known to be used by the Reds during victories.

After ref Anthony Taylor had blown the whistle for full-time, Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard was spotted taking photos of the club photographer with the home fans, as they celebrated a key win in the Premier League title race.

What did Curtis Jones say?

Meanwhile, Curtis Jones has since dropped his view on the celebration scenes last weekend, accusing Arsenal of ‘stealing’ an original Liverpool celebration.

While speaking to BBC Sport, the English midfielder said:

“The gaffer, the way he fist pumps the crowd, that’s kind of our thing. If they want to be stealing our stuff, it shows we’re on the right path if they’re copying us. They can have their moment and stuff, but there’s a long way to go.”
